Fitted Dress from Sewing Software

This is the fitted dress I am currently working on to make sure all of my measurements are tweaked just right for my body in my sewing software so the rest of my creations are made to fit my body. The best part is that this fabric cost a total of less than $5 on clearance! It is a beautiful copper colored Satin. I still have to finish the neck line, add the sleeves and finish hemming it and then I am all finished! I am sooooo excited!!!

Made a new skirt on my software!!!

This is the first successful attempt at a pencil skirt in my Pattern Master Software! They are getting ready to launch a new website next month (after I just purchased the whole expensive software package around 6 months ago) that will have more trendy patterns. My skirt was not hard to make at all once I started getting my measurements worked out. I still have to make my fitted dress to finish getting my measurements perfectly tweaked for my body. I did attempt it once before, but cut out on the wrong line of the pattern and made it too small, but this time around I know more what I am doing.

Ok, I have started my first real project to get my measurements tweaked just right. I started a dress as my trial run. you have to make a fitted dress with long sleeves first to make sure all measurements are correct. After that, all your creations should be set to fit your measurements (or your clients' measurements). I am soooo excited! I did start one, but accidentally cut on the wrong lines so it was too tight. So I am starting over with another one, but it is no big deal...it all goes together pretty easy as it is a very simple pattern. I will post pictures when I finish!

New Sewing software

Ok, so I either need to lose weight (which I really do need to) or I need to adjust my measurements on my new sewing software. I made a skirt and it is still really baggy on me. I know it is because it accounts for my "baby belly" so it over compensates everywhere else to adjust for that area. I still love that I can design my own clothes and make them as loose and as tight as I like so I will continue to try to lose weight and play with it at the same time. lol I think I will have better luck playing with it than the losing weight part.

I sewed both skirts the day of the cotillion! I was literally putting finishing touches on as they were getting ready to leave!

New Sewing Software!

I have finally narrowed it down and decided to buy the PatternMaster Boutique sewing software by Wild Ginger. I can't wait to put in my measurements and get started! I will post my findings as I play with this new "toy" of mine.
