About Me

This is a blog about the ins and outs of my life, my daily thoughts, and all craft stuff. Basically, whatever comes to my mind at the time. lol I am a mother of two girls (10 and 11) and have been married to my wonderful husband for 13 years. We live in a small town in Arkansas with our dog (Pretty Girl) and our cat (Little Bit). I have always loved doing crafts and am always ready to learn more! My mom got me started on cross-stitching when I was in the third grade and I dabbled a little in crocheting in the forth grade, but never made it much further than a poorly developed pot holder. I continued to cross-stitch all the way up until I had my first baby at the age of 22.  I took a sewing class when I was in high school and still have the apron I made, but didn't get my first sewing machine until after both girls were toddlers. I spent $10 on it at a garage sale! It lasted several years and I made a few things on it, but I wanted something better. Last Christmas my mom got me a new sewing machine and I am loving it and have been doing some sewing off and on for a while now.

I have dabbled in knitting. I love to loom knit, but have not done it as much lately as I have been sewing instead. I used to teach loom knitting classes at our local Micheal's store until they got rid of most of the instructors, which was good for me as I started going back to school and the girls had soccer so it took some of the load off of me. My mom got me a sweater knitting machine for Christmas two years ago, but unfortunately I have not ever been able to finish anything on it as I keep dropping stitches and then get too frustrated to finish. lol

I love couponing. I do play the grocery game (when I can). I have not done it lately because my local Walgreens does not restock until Wednesdays and by the time I can get over there to shop, everything is all gone again. So I am still trying to work out the kinks in that one, but when it works I really do enjoy seeing how much I have saved. It is a great feeling when we run out of something in the house and all I have to do is go out to the garage and get another one and knowing I saved tons of money doing it!

So there is my life in a nutshell. I will try to post projects, reviews, and share my grocery game triumphs and struggles with you along, of course, with my daily ramblings of my family and I.
